About
Virgobit is working together with neuroscientists from the University of Münster (Institute for Biomagnetism and Biosignal Analysis) aiming to understand the interplay between brain and body in the context of female health.
More specifically it is of great interest to investigate how hormonal fluctuations across the menstrual cycle or the use of hormonal contraception is possibly affecting the brain and how bodily rhythms and neural rhythms are dynamically connected.
With using the Polar360 from Virgobit it is easily possible to access physiological data just like cardiac activity and body temperature which we know is modulated across the menstrual cycle. Additionally with the MUSE headband EEG activity during sleep is easily recorded in the participants normal environment.
This gives us the possibility to access physiological and neural measures of participants of our study much more closely and easily than before!
